About
25+ years helping Fortune 500 organizations turn data into decisions and build AI-ready foundations that deliver measurable business results.
My journey into data started in an unlikely place: operating nuclear power plants on Navy submarines at 20 years old.
In that environment, precision, reliability, and making critical decisions with incomplete information were matters of survival. You learn quickly that data isn't just numbers on a screen - it's the foundation for every decision that keeps systems running and people safe.
That rigor has informed everything I do with data since. When I transitioned to the corporate world, I brought that same disciplined approach to enterprise data challenges. The stakes may be different, but the principle remains: good decisions require good data, and good data requires intentional strategy.
For the past 25+ years, I've been helping Fortune 500 companies in healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, and life sciences transform their data capabilities into competitive advantages. I've built programs that delivered tens of millions in documented ROI, not through technology alone, but through the careful alignment of data strategy with business objectives.
The organizations winning with AI aren't the ones with the most data - they're the ones who know how to turn data into decisions.
Today, I help organizations navigate the AI revolution. But here's what most people miss: successful AI implementation isn't primarily a technology challenge. It's a data foundation challenge, a culture challenge, and a strategy challenge.
I've seen too many organizations rush into AI initiatives with shaky data foundations and unclear objectives. They end up with expensive pilots that never scale and POCs that never reach production. My approach is different: we build the foundations first, establish clear business cases, and implement AI in ways that deliver measurable value.
The next five to seven years will decisively separate organizations that understand the AI transformation from those trapped in traditional strategic thinking. The era of contemplative approach to technological innovation has concluded. The time for strategic AI integration is now.

Like most people, I wear many hats in life. I'm a husband, a dad, a writer, an innovator, a leader, and a follower. I have two amazing children, four grandchildren, a dog, and a wife who supports me in all of my endeavors.
I'm a passionate soccer player, coach, and enthusiast. The lessons from the pitch - teamwork, strategy, adapting to changing conditions, and the importance of fundamentals - translate surprisingly well to enterprise data challenges.
Currently, I'm working on my fourth book, which outlines a guide for surviving the next wave of the Data Tsunami - Artificial Intelligence. The book draws on my 25+ years of experience helping organizations navigate technological change and provides practical frameworks for the AI transformation ahead.
Whether you're building an AI strategy, transforming your data capabilities, or need a partner who understands both the technical and business sides of enterprise data, I'd welcome the conversation.
